Well it has been one year today since we adopted our sweet Buddy. So I thought it important for me to let you and everyone else at B.O.N.E.S. know how much having Buddy has meant to us. He is and always will be a part of our family. He is a very funny dog, but smart—very smart. He picked up the rhythm of our household in a matter of days. He knows Monday morning and doesn't like it. (We leave him) He knows Friday when I have the day off and he gets to hop on the bed and rest his head on my leg.
When he gets upset he goes to his basket of toys picks out something and keeps squeaking it until he feels better. My husband will say "give me five!" and Buddy slaps his paw on my husbands hand. He knows that on Sunday when I go to the closet to get his special water bottle...he is going for a ride. He has toys, a blanket, pillow, water bottle, two dog beds.
But that isn't what makes him happy. Being part of our family is what makes Buddy happy. And having this sweet dog has brought us such joy.
So Warren and I would like to make a donation to Bones every year on the anniversary of his adoption.
